Fateh Prakash Palace, Chittorgarh is one of the major Forts and Palace in Chittorgarh. Since Chittorgarh is replete with a huge number of palaces, forts, and places of interest, it attracts millions of tourists from across the country. The famous Fateh Prakash Palace speaks much of the grandeur of the Rajput kings and their imagination that worked into the making of this palace.

History of Fateh Prakash Palace :
Fateh Prakash Palace had been the erstwhile residence of Maharana Fateh Singh. He constructed it in the Rajasthani style with abundant corridors and pillars. Since he had a great taste for art and culture, you can see numerous paintings inside the Palace. Since Maharana Fateh Singh was an avid collector of crystal objects, you can also see some rare and brilliant crystal products over there. In 1968 it was found that the collection of crystals in the palace was sufficient for a Museum. Therefore a large portion of the palace was converted into a museum.

Description of Fateh Prakash Palace :
If you enter inside the beautiful palace of Fateh Prakash, Chittorgarh hen you can see vast corridors that are adorned with beautiful paintings on the walls. As you walk past the corridor and observe these paintings you can also identify the tales that have been communicated through them. Sometimes, you shall get to see some tales from the epics, while at other times you can go through the Rajasthani Folk Tales which would appeal to you equally. The paintings generally belong to the 17th and 19th century order of classical paintings.

Fateh Prakash Palace in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan commemorates the king Fateh Singh who stayed over here. These crystals that are abundantly found in Fateh Palace, were mainly collected by Maharana Sajjan Singh from F & C Osler, England, and kept in the Fateh Prakash Museum. This is a famous historical place and people visiting Chittorgarh wants to have a visit to this amazing Museum.

The intricate jewel studded carpet is another historic object to see here. The gallery has a large collection of sofa sets, dining table, dressers and perfume bottles. You can also see the historical Durbar Hall. Here too, you can see some magnificent historic paintings. Inside this museum, you can also find shield, axes, helmets, farsa, knoves and soldier uniforms over here.
