Situated just a kilometer north of Itmad-ud-Daullah's Tomb in Agra , the Chini ka Rauza is the beautiful tomb of Allama Afzal Khan, the Prime Minister of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan who built the world-renowned Taj Mahal. Chini ka Rauza in Agra is a beautiful rectangular shaped monument with a bulbous tomb, decorated in the style of an inverted lotus flower. The structure has a central octagonal chamber with eight arched recess, decorated with inscriptions and intricate inlay work done in blue colored tiles.
The inscriptions are bordered by blue green and yellow tiles, providing a glazing look to the tomb.
